3D photography
3-Dimensional art can be an illusion, something that tricks the eye and makes you see something that isn’t really there. It can also be a very real creation of depth and realism… and it’s here where I begin.
It starts with a picture or photo, such as a landscape or bouquet of flowers. I won’t give away all the secrets, but select pieces of the image are copied and carefully layered above the original, with mixtures of glue and resins in between. The finished work reveals realism and intrigue well beyond the original picture.
I taught classes in 3D art when I lived in Mexico and Southern California, and I would welcome the opportunity to share those ’secrets’ with you too.
If you’ve got a favored photograph, or would like to create a 3D image from something cherished, let’s explore the possibilities together.
